Your camera’s job doesn’t necessarily end when you switch off the engine. Parking mode allows a compatible dash cam to record while your vehicle is parked, provided it has the correct power connection and settings.

If you leave your car in a shared lot, outside your home or at work, mention parking recording when requesting your quote. We’ll discuss the camera and power setup needed for that use.

Low-battery protection shuts the camera down when the vehicle battery reaches a set voltage. That helps limit battery drain, but parking recording is not unlimited: recording time depends on the camera, power source, settings and battery condition.

A dash cam can capture useful footage; it cannot prevent damage or guarantee that every incident will be recorded.
